To Reduce Stress:

Try exercise, like a daily walk with a family member or friend. Watch your consumption of caffeine and alcohol. Do not withdraw - talk to family and friends.   Seek medical or professional assistance for persistent difficulty sleeping or conducting your normal routine.

Try volunteering.  Helping others is a great boost for self-esteem. It is also an excellent way to make connections with caring and helpful people, and you may find a new career as a result. Action Centers throughout PA, NY & NJ provide several regional volunteer agencies to direct you. Check them out below

Tell everyone you know – the neighbor, clergy, the dry cleaner, or Little League parents, that you are in job transition. 70-80% of jobs are still gained through networking.

Change is never easy, but it also provides new opportunities.
